Existing Workplace Study

Companies often decide to relocate due to their increased headcount, however you could save considerable time and money by commissioning a workplace study before instructing your professional team to source a new building. As office design specialists, we recommend undertaking a workplace study as the very first stage as it will highlight how your current offices are operating and more importantly demonstrate whether they can be improved and if cost efficiencies can be made. The research will take into account your existing working practices, company culture, workstation layout and density, storage requirements, general business objectives and predicted changes in staff levels. The workplace study will also provide valuable insight into the space needed to meet your future business plans.

The conclusion could be that relocating isn't necessary and that you can continue to work comfortably and productively in your existing premises if properly refurbished.

New Building Appraisal

Space Analysis - we advise Clients on the actual space that is required when relocating. We consider their method of working, furniture systems, expansion or contraction of staff numbers, and in the event of merging 2 or more locations the effects of duplicate areas. A report is compiled and used to assist the Commercial Agent in identifying suitable office space.

Building Evaluation - when relocating, companies often consider several potential buildings. Area Sq provide block plans to demonstrate how each building may match the occupational brief in terms of best fit. In addition we advise on issues such as likely fit out cost, construction timescales and base build features e.g. air conditioning, electrical supplies, DDA compliance etc.

DDA Compliance - using our approved specialist we commission reports on new and existing buildings regarding their compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act.

Asbestos Surveys - using our Approved Asbestos Surveyors we can assess any Asbestos in commercial property and provide any recommendation regarding its treatment.
