To achieve our environmental aims, the Fourfront Group have partnered with the Forestry Commission to develop a conservation volunteering scheme.
Recent voluntary schemes include planting a native apple orchard at Ashley Primary School in Surrey, Alice Holts Forest in Surrey and Moor Trees in Dartmoor. Through our partnership work with these charities, Fourfront Group is able to offset our carbon footprint and achieve Carbon Negative status. In 2009/10 the company’s carbon footprint was 187.5 tonnes, which was a 4.75% decrease on the previous year.
From 2011, we will be splitting our carbon offset between Moor Trees and Trees for Cities. The new partnership with Trees for Cities has already started developing a voluntary project in London that the Fourfront Group will develop and manage over the coming years.
