Skills for Health is the Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the UK Health sector. Their purpose is to help the whole sector develop solutions which deliver a skilled and flexible UK workforce in order to improve health and healthcare.
London was selected as the new NHS Skills for Health's training facility due to its central location and excellent transport links. The objective of the move from serviced offices to a new location in Tavistock Square was to create a multi-use facility housing offices, meeting and training rooms. It also needed to bring together two different teams together under one roof to create more synergy.
The new Skills for Health facility has been operating very successfully and has helped streamline the organisation’s operations and facilitated team interaction. The interior is clean and crisp, in line with the Skills for Health's branding. The colour palette used also projects the brand image strongly. The facility is effectively split into two spaces, staff offices and the training facility itself. The offices are usable and efficient and the flexible training and meeting rooms have provided the much needed multi-use spaces.
John Stephenson, Director of UK Networks from Skills for Health says "The staff at Lynton House have said how much they like the environment and the overall impression for anyone visiting is a very bright and professional working environment, which I believe shows Skill for Health in a very good light. I regard this as a very successful collaboration and will be very happy to say so to other public service clients who may be considering using Area Sq in the future."
