Future Electronics, a world wide distributor of electronic components and semiconductors has relocated from Slough where its 300 staff were split between two buildings. The company has taken the entire 68,000 sq ft over a ten year lease in the landmark Aura Building, one of Surrey's most prominent office buildings. As the building is visible from the M25, the refurbishment had to encapsulate a crisp design reflecting the synergy of the building and the values of Future Electronics.
The relocation's objective was to improve synergy and communication amongst teams, but also provide prestigious facilities for Future Electronics to showcase a broad portfolio of products.
New technologies are key feature throughout the building and are reflected by the use of the latest network technologies, wireless touchdown areas and hot desk facilities for travelling staff.
The fit-out includes a new catering facility, training and seminar suite, as well as large open plan areas and meeting rooms. In the reception area located in the full height atrium, Future Electronics has displayed solid state lighting solutions using LUXEON® technology.
With quality and environmental management being one of the key business objectives of Future Electronics, Area Sq has specified that environmentally friendly materials wherever possible / viable in the refurbishment.
Area Sq's worked closely with Future Electronics to achieve a design both cutting edge and functional. Area Sq's sister company Sketch Studios supplied the furniture including Connection seating and desking as well a new storage units. Sketch also provided recycling options for the old furniture.
