Yuanda - London

The brief

The parent company of Yuanda UK, the glass-cladding specialist, helped to build the Bird’s Nest stadium for the Beijing Olympics. So when they relocated to the City of London, they decided to adopt a striking, contemporary, office design that resonated with top-end developers and architects. One specific challenge was that the entrance of their new office was divided the workspace in two.

Our solution

Getting the reception area right was the key to this project. By analysing how employees operated, we found a natural spilt among the Yuanda UK team. This insight enabled us to house its finance workers on one side of the new entrance with the design, delivery and sales staff on the other. The crisp interior design scheme was completed with signature office furniture pieces supplied by our sister company, Sketch Studios.

Project insight

When a client is trying to sell to an audience of architects, attention to detail is paramount. To this end, finishes and materials were chosen that these industry professionals would understand and appreciate. These included luxurious walnut floors, seamless high-tech Corian acrylic for the desks, and a dramatic integrated shelving feature to help set the scene.
