Sybase (UK) Ltd. is an enterprise software and services company offering software to manage, analyse, and mobilise information, primarily using databases. Sybase appointed Area Sq to breathe new life into their building in Maidenhead which needed complete refurbishment.
The in-situ refurbishment meant that construction works had to be phased around different zones in the building to enable employees to carry on working as usual.
Area Sq had to establish a strong partnership with Sybase and from the outset of the project, there was a strong emphasis on communication between both parties to make the project successful.
Sybase is a successful international company and the design scheme had to reflect this but also relate to its clients and visitors.
Carrie Spooner, Designer at Area Sq comments: "Focus was on the client facing side of the design, giving a spacious, modern meeting and training suite together with a coffee shop style breakout space." She adds: "The office areas were given a face lift resulting in light, bright working space with colour themes relating to the corporate brand."
Bright and fresh meeting and breakout spaces were scattered throughout the floors give plenty of facilities for staff to get away from their workstations.
Overall the scheme gave Sybase a relaxed yet professional image that helped to pull staff and visitors together.
