The brief

Providing their clients with impressive, unbranded and well-maintained buildings, LEO tasked Area with creating a sophisticated design solution for South Terrace. Our focus was the key executive common areas, which includes the club lounge, client breakout and refreshment areas, meeting suite, and external roof terrace.

The solution

From the project outset, we worked closely with LEO to design a workplace that meets the requirements of their clients. Having based the design concept on the heritage and local architecture within Victoria, as well as being sympathetic to features of the building, Leo’s new executive common areas provide a refined and stylish place for their clients to work within.

Aligning with LEO’s 5-star luxury service, the common areas have been immaculately finished with a strong attention to detail. To create an impact upon arrival and to maximise views over London, the executive Club Lounge has been located in the reception area. Providing a luxurious look and feel, sophisticated lighting and flooring options were carefully selected for each space, and brass insets have been detailed into the base build. In addition, excellent quality pieces of furniture and soft seating were also carefully selected to complete the elegant look and feel of each area.

We have worked with several other D&B companies in the past and Area have been by far the best. It's all down to the people.

Project insight

When designing this project, LEO allowed us complete creative freedom to design what we thought was the right solution for the space and their clients. We were allowed access across their portfolio to ensure we understood their brand and client base, which provided excellent insight and guidance. The design concept and detailing was completely unhindered by them, which meant we were able to provide them with a workspace which really works for the LEO serviced office model.” Darren Sansom, project director, Area.
