Connections are recruitment specialists with a diverse client base encompassing all areas of the IT, sales and marketing industries. Due to their continued success, the client needed improved surroundings to accommodate their recent growth and future expansion strategy and therefore selected a new build in IQ Winnersh Business Park.

The brief was to create a contemporary and
practicable workspace which not only reflected the company's professionalism but would accommodate future growth.

Calvin Williams, Project Director at Area Sq comments, "We did spend a lot of time working closely with Judith Carroll (Operations Manager at Connections) to ensure we achieved the right look and feel for the company and that the design perfectly matched their operational requirements."

A key part of the brief was to incorporate a focal point within the open plan space where Connections could address its staff. This was accomplished through the creation of a raised platform with spot lighting and writing glass, adding a visual element to the presentation area.

Bold colours gave an invigorating lift to the scheme, while modern furniture and uncluttered floor plans gave a relaxed yet professional environment for both the Connections staff and their visitors.

Area Sq's sister company, Sketch Studios, supplied the furniture which played a crucial role in creating the flexible arrangement Connections desired.

Justin Bass, Managing Director at Sketch adds: "Understanding how the Connections team worked was the key to providing an innovative solution."

Judith Carroll, Operations Manager at Connections concludes, "Area Sq delivered at all points of the project exceeding our expectations in many aspects. They took the time to understand Connections as a business, our needs and culture and provided a design that would create the ideal working environment, not only for now but for our future plans as well."
