After a building appraisal and a workplace analysis, corporate travel management company BCD Travel relocated to new offices on Eastbourne Terrace in Paddington. The BREEAM rated building met their operational requirements and aligned well with their CSR and environmental ethos.

Area Sq and BCD Travel saw the office design and fit-out as an opportunity to introduce new ways of working, improve inter-departmental communication and create a better visitor experience.

Kirsty Bell, Senior Designer at Area Sq, comments "By designing a new breakout area, we created an office space which brought employees together thus improving internal communication and encouraging impromptu meetings." She adds, "The inclusion of a new executive suite provides BCD Travel with a professional and impressive area to meet and entertain clients."

BCD Travel were impressed with Area Sq's environmental credentials and in addition to numerous measures taken to reduce the carbon footprint of the project, Area Sq provided valuable consultation in helping BCD Travel towards gaining the ISO14001 accreditation.
