The objectives

The client, an exclusive wealth management firm, required a high specification fit-out of their premises in Canary Wharf. While their back-of-house space contained cellular offices, they sought a sophisticated and stylish client-facing area at the front of house to include a reception, meeting rooms and large boardroom.  This area also included Client washrooms and facilities. The brief required our team to complete the project to the highest standards within a demanding timescale.

The solution

The Landlord approval process required further detailing within the overall programme which was achieved by pro-active, regular design workshops and the collaborative approach of our team. We achieved early procurement and negotiations with our key contractors who have a proven track record of fast track, high end fit-out, and we were fastidious with on-site monitoring of key installation programme dates and material deliveries.

Key Challenges

As a result of being situated in Canary Wharf, a permit to work was required for many different tasks on the project, such as working out of hours, working within the ceiling and for access. Area ensured this was achieved with zero disruption to the programme. The building has a very busy loading bay so any deliveries had to be booked 48 hours in advance. This required extensive forward planning and organisation from our site team. The very secure site required all workers to be vetted before they attended, with 3 forms of ID required and lengthy site inductions.

Technical Aspects

The category A VAV Installation required substantial adaption, working in partnership with the house controls and commissioning engineers. An advanced Audio Visual Installation was required to serve the various front-of-house, meeting and reception areas. The integration of bespoke joinery elements with Audio Visual and Electrical lighting features were combined with the upmost detailed finish.
