Sustainable design is one of our core principles. For every project, we source responsibly and introduce initiatives to minimise energy use, waste and reduce the impact on the environment. We also know how to create designs that are beneficial for both environment and employees, such as the provision of fresh air and natural light.
Over the last decade, green building standards and standard-setting organisations have made significant strides towards the market transformation of the building industry, resulting in a rapid expansion of green buildings and environmentally conscious building practices throughout the world. Over the same period, strategies to enhance human health and wellbeing have played a relatively small role in the evolution of building standards. We believe that the time has come to elevate human health and comfort to the forefront of building practices and reinvent buildings that are not only better for the planet - but also for people.
Our projects routinely earn the very highest environmental accreditations, including BREEAM Refurbishment & Fit-Out 2014 & RICS Ska Rating. We have delivered more projects judged worthy of the Ska Gold accreditation than any other company in the UK, according to RICS. We have also achieved BREEAM Excellent ratings for our work on whole building projects. Because of our commitment to sustainable design, we employ our own in-house Ska, BREEAM, LEED & Wellbuilding accredited assessors so we are able to judge the green credentials of any project throughout the design and delivery process.
There are a range of proven benefits associated with creating and occupying a sustainable workplace. They attract higher rents and prices. It helps to recruit and retain staff who are demonstrably happier, more productive and healthier. It is attractive to the organisation's own clients and stakeholders. It may also be eligible for a range of tax incentive called ‘Enhanced Capital Allowances’.
When it comes to creating a sustainable workplace, we're here to help you make the right choices and enjoy all of the benefits, including tax allowances and accreditations. We'll do it without compromising on other aspects of a successful design, including the creation of an inspiring, productive and flexible working environment that enhances the wellbeing of staff.
